Cat Skiing in Rossland

Welcome to cat skiing in Rossland – Red Mountain

Big Red Cats - The best value in the backcountry skiing!

Fresh tracks, deep powder, and no lines - cat skiing and boarding at Big Red Cats provides all that and more.

As the only snow cat operation in BC to offer separate trips for expert, advanced, and intermediate skiers and riders, your clients can enjoy exploring the backcountry with others of a similar ability.
Big Red Cats has 5 full mountains on 18,500 acres of some of the best tree skiing and glades in the world, so you might explore the area with day-trips, or week-long packages.
Safety is important to the team (all of the guides guides have NZMGA, CSGA, and ACMG qualifications and we are a member of the Canadian Avalanche Association), but fun is what it's all about.  They love exploring the backcountry, and nearly every day someone tells them that it was the best day of skiing in their life.

Or Casa Alpina staff would be happy to arrange for you an unforgettable, powdery cat skiing day in the beautiful Kootenay backcountry sight!

NEW for 2009/2010: The Big Red Cats team will offer pickup of Casa Alpina guests directly at the hotel!
